On September 7, 2010, the Society of Aqua Metal Research held its 2nd Aqua Metal Symposium in Kyoto, Japan. Researchers from four universities around the world presented significant research achievements. Vigorous panel discussions were held to substantiate the benefits of Aqua-Titanium from a medical science perspective. Potential effects of Aqua-Titanium were suggested in the following areas: alteration of neuronal property, enhancement of sport performance in relation to joint range of motion, formation of muscle tissue, and application on implant material. Currently, Aqua-Titanium is used in in-flight blankets used by All Nippon Airways, shoes by Descente, TIMEX watches, and horse blankets used by JRA racing horses. These research achievements presented at the symposium provide a basis for expanding the application of Aqua-Titanium further to include a vast array of product categories.

Phiten offers its heartfelt condolences to the people of Japan following the devastation from the recent
earthquake and tsunami. Our prayers go out to our Phiten employees and their
families working and living in the Tohoku (Sendai), Japan area who have been
directly impacted.
Phiten is committed to helping all
victims of this tragedy recover and rebuild in part by pledging financial
support to Sekijyuuji, the Japanese Red Cross Society, an organization involved
with disaster response efforts, and by donating supplies for humanitarian
relief in hard hit areas. We also encourage our customers and fans in the U.S.
to make their own donations to the American Red Cross Japan Earthquake and
Pacific Tsunami relief fund either through its website www.redcross.org
or by texting REDCROSS to the number 90999 to make a $10 contribution by
mobile phone.
Although a limited number of Phiten offices and stores have been affected by the earthquake, Phiten’s manufacturing
facilities have not been adversely impacted.
Note that all shipments prepared for export from Japan are now being checked for any radioactivity.

With baseball heading toward the World Series and the NFL just getting started, not a day goes by without a televised sporting event. And people watching those games may notice an odd fashion accessory: the Phiten titanium necklace. The necklaces are sported most prominently by Matt Hasselbeck of the Seattle Seahawks, Joba Chamberlain of the New York Yankees and Josh Beckett of the Boston Red Sox, who believe that they enhance their physical and mental abilities.

Earlier this year, when heal th accessory brand Power Balance Australia released an official apology in their website stating there is no credible scientific evidence to support their product’s claims to improve strength, balance and flexibility, I resisted writing this article about their competition, Phiten.
